Privacy Policy — Pulse Last updated: March 28, 2026

What is Pulse?

Pulse is a private, single-user Instagram analytics dashboard. It is not a public product or service. It is a personal tool used exclusively by its owner to view analytics, manage messages, and plan content for the Instagram account @jenrudolphofficial.

What data does Pulse access?

When authenticated with Instagram, Pulse accesses the following via Meta's official Instagram Graph API:

  • Instagram username and profile information
  • Follower count, following count, and post count
  • Post content, captions, and media
  • Post engagement metrics (likes, comments, saves, reach, impressions)
  • Account-level insights (reach, impressions, profile views, website clicks)
  • Direct message conversations
  • Audience demographic data (age, gender, location)

Pulse never posts, modifies, or deletes anything on your Instagram account. All access is strictly read-only.

How is data used?

Data is used only to display analytics within the Pulse dashboard. It is never sold, shared, or transferred to any third party. It is never used for advertising or to train machine learning models.

How is data stored?

Your Instagram access token is stored in a signed, encrypted session cookie. It is never stored in a database. No user data is retained after your session ends. Sessions expire after 30 days.

Third parties

Pulse is hosted on Vercel (vercel.com) and connects to Meta's Instagram Graph API. No other third-party services receive your data.

Your rights

You can revoke Pulse's access to your Instagram account at any time by going to Instagram Settings → Apps and Websites → Remove Pulse. This immediately invalidates all sessions and access.
